The II Luis A. Noboa Naranjo International Biennale has entered its final phase. The process of selecting the works ended at 6 pm last March 26. Painters from all over the world are to participate, as are Ecuadorians from the various provinces.

The II Luis A. Noboa Naranjo International Biennale has entered its final phase. The process of selecting the works ended at 6 pm last March 26. Painters from all over the world are to participate, as are Ecuadorians from the various provinces.

The qualifying jury looked over 400 works by 250 artists, approximately 64 of which will be exhibited. In the Luis Noboa Naranjo Museum, the directors, together with chief executives, and presided over by Counselor Álvaro Noboa (photo) announced the names of the jurors: Larissa Marangoni (sculptor and painter); Mariela García (painter); Theo Constante, (renowned artist); Joseph Roberts (curator of the Museum of Seattle, state of Washington); Alejandra Rosseti, from Argentina, curator and historian, Vice-president of art auction house, Sotheby’s New York.

Pablo Martínez Rojas, director of the Biennale, said yesterday that the names of the winners will be announced in a few days. He also emphasized the great reception of this competition, in Ecuador as well as in Peru, Chile, Venezuela, the United States, Turkey, Germany, Israel, and other countries.

The museum is located in P. Icaza 320.
