II INTERNATIONAL BIENNALE OF PAINTING OF GUAYAQUIL, 2010, TO BE PRESENTED IN A PRESS CONFERENCE TODAY MARCH 26

With the aim of strengthening friendship among people all over the world, and to celebrate their creative capacity, the II International Biennale of Guayaquil, 2010, will be held in the Luis Noboa Naranjo Museum from this April 28 until June 28. To this end, visual artists from the five continents have been invited to participate in said event.

Among the visual artists who have confirmed their participation in the “Álvaro Noboa” International Biennale of Painting of Guayaquil are: Deniz Gokduman and Deniz Bayav (Turkey), Amadeo Lanci and Alberto Gallingani (Italy), Arístides Ureña (Panama), Violeta Block Saldaña and Iván Fernández Dávila (Peru), César Augusto, Luis Lucio Ramos, Jaime Enrique Lasso, Walter Villareal, Geovanny Pazmiño, Fanny Eugenia Moscoso, Luis Quimbuilco, Brenda Elena González, Félix Araúz, Edwin Mantilla (Ecuador), Policarpio Conteras (Venezuela), Guido Alfredo Falcón (Switzerland), Euilrich Jacobs (Germany), Judith Gashghaie (United States), Raquel Paiewonski (Dominican Republic), Igal Fedida (Israel), Juanito Conte (Uruguay), Alma Noblia (Spain), and Diego Bernashina (Chile). Awaiting arrival are: Melina Tosi (Argentina), Kees de Waal (Holland), Deidre de Waal (United States), Arbana Hajredinaj (Kosovo), Diego Pava (Colombia Buenaventura), among others.

For the exhibition, jury members should select a maximum of 50 works, among which will be included the three prize-winning works, and three Honorable Mentions. The theme for the exposition is open, and the artist taking First Place will win $20,000, the second place earns $10,000 and the third, $5,000; winners will also receive a diploma.

Tomorrow (March 26) in a PRESS CONFERENCE at 19.00 in the Luis Noboa Naranjo Museum (P. Icaza 302 and Córdova (Corner) 1st Floor, “Seguros Condor” Building), the national and international members of the jury will be announced, who will select and evaluate the works of the various artists who are to participate in this grand visual event.
